Really great service provided by the staff
Doctors and Nurses were very friendly and helpful. Very positive vibes
The team members of the home birth service all go above and beyond to create trusting relationships each time you are in contact. Being able to message them at any time is hugely comforting. The monthly Zoom calls with the team and other antenatal and postpartum mums are such a thoughtful part of the care which I’ve never come across in my experience of healthcare as a patient, or as a GP (my job). I couldn’t speak more highly of the team or express in words how grateful I am to them to have enabled me to have such a positive birth experience in my own home.
My local midwife Pamela gave me a very personal experience. My first appointment with her made me feel like I was listened to and the appointment was tailored to me, rather than feeling like another patient on the list.
Very welcoming, attentive, informative and comforting. As a first pregnancy I think these qualities are very important. Makes an alien situation feel much more familiar. Extremely sad to be seeing her leave and also gutted she won't be around to see my pregnancy come to a close.
Without a doubt the best outpatient service I’ve experienced. Unlike many hospitals they actually answer the phone when you call, they give you plenty of options for appointment time, I never had to wait long in the waiting room and they email my letters to me which is very convenient.
My nurse Anna Parberry was fantastic and I completely trust her. I’m very grateful to all the staff.
Again third time . I came for my gynaecology appointment today and got told at the reception that your appointment is been reschedule for another month.
No consideration for me time or money. What someone can do is Simply sending a letter or calling me as a patient to let them know that my appointment is cancelled will very appreciate
But it seems as some of us don't deserve any care or consideration.
But what can I do, Go home and leave with my disease which is slowly killing me and turning to caner
I was referred by my GP in the 8th week of pregnancy. However, no one contacted me for my midwife appointment and the first-trimester scan for more than 4 weeks.
Both my GP and I have been trying to chase the unit for an urgent appointment. It's impossible to get through all day (not even a dial tone!!). Someone finally called me on my 12w 4 days for my midwife scan. I asked for an urgent nuchal scan as I almost missed the critical period to do this. But no luck! They booked me a date on short notice, and it's impossible to speak to anyone via phone/email when I need to change my appointment.
I decided to go to another NHS Trust outside of the borough. Their lack of response and respect for pregnant women make me doubt women and their babies are being looked after in their care.
The service at the hospital is appalling the wait for doctors is constant. It takes hours for doctors to come see to a patient; either it’s they’re short staffed or not very organised. I was sent home twice only to return to the hospital and me admitted on both occasions. A and e waiting times are ridiculous 7/8 hours. The doctors exact words are we don’t have enough beds and there are more sick patients so we have ti discharge you, but only for me to return and be admitted again and wait 7/8 hours at the a and e. Be brought to hospital with an ambulance wasting valuable service. If they do the treatment and care right the first time this would not happen
I visited the gynaecology department Phillips Corson and her team were amazing friendly, kind and caring.
And have helped me to resolve my issue amazing
The sonographer that did a scan was very compassionate. Easy and gentle. This was very different to last appointment which was with a gentleman. Joanna was the person I saw and hope to have her for all my appointments. Sometime a female is requested simply because they have been through this and are generally more compassionate.
